Oh, poor Christina Aguelera. Unlike other certain troubled young pop stars, Christina pretty much seems sane…as far as this sh*t goes.
She went off on a long hiatus and now comes back only to find out that no one cares.
After releasing her fourth studio album Bionic recently, the album now has the distinction of having the become the fasting chart dropping album in UK history. **sigh** Jesus, wept!
Shockingly, her album is now at #18 in today’s midweeks and it is set to leave the UK top 20 in its second week. This will also result in the biggest drop from number one in the history of the UK charts. Ouch! That’s a massive fall from number one, and it’s dropping each day. This is one of the largest scale of flops if ever I’ve seen one. How does an artist have a number one album one week and then drop out of the top 20 the following? I didn’t think it was possible.
The album has also bombed Stateside as well, but she’s hoping to salvage the damage by releasing ‘You Lost Me’ as the next single – one of her stronger tracks to date. Is there any future hope for ‘Bionic’? As of now, things are not looking good.
