Prince Talks About His New Album ’20TEN’ and Why He Hates the Internet!

In his first sit-down newspaper interview in 10 years, the Purple One talks with Britain’s Daily Mail about the internet, music, including his new album named ’20TEN’ and more:

He [Prince] explains that he decided the album will be released in CD format only in the Mirror. There’ll be no downloads anywhere in the world because of his ongoing battles against internet abuses.
Unlike most other rock stars, he has banned YouTube and iTunes from using any of his music and has even closed down his own official website.
He says: “The internet’s completely over. I don’t see why I should give my new music to iTunes or anyone else. They won’t pay me an advance for it and then they get angry when they can’t get it.
“The internet’s like MTV. At one time MTV was hip and suddenly it became outdated. Anyway, all these computers and digital gadgets are no good.
“They just fill your head with numbers and that can’t be good for you.“

Prince also talks about naming his album 20TEN:
“I just think it’s a year that really matters…These are very trying times….People, especially young people, don’t have enough God in their lives.”

His childhood:
“I don’t talk about the past.”

Of his girlfriend Bria Valente, he says: “Self interest is on the back-burner now.”

And on late friend/foe Michael Jackson, Prince replies: “Next question.”

A woman who pleaded guilty to having sex with the biological son she gave up for adoption and later tracked down on the Internet has been sentenced nine years to 30 years in prison.
Aimee L. Sword, 36, of Waterford Township apologized at her sentencing Monday in Oakland County Circuit Court. She had pleaded guilty to one count of first-degree criminal sexual conduct in a deal with prosecutors.
Police say Sword used Facebook in 2008 to find her son, who’s now 16. She gave him up for adoption when he was only a few days old, the Detroit Free Press reported.
“When she saw this boy, something just touched off in her — and it wasn’t a mother-son relationship, it was a boyfriend-girlfriend relationship,” the newspaper quoted attorney Mitchell Ribitwer as saying. “Aimee’s searching for a reason why this happened. She can’t understand it. She’s going to get some counseling.”
The boy testified they had sex in Waterford Township and Grand Rapids when he was aged 14.
Waterford Township is 30 miles northwest of Detroit.

I can do a Talib Kweli track [“Hot Thing”] and Estelle’s “American Boy,” and co-write “Ordinary People” with John Legend and I’m still hip-hop. If Nas calls me for another track, I can do that. But at the same time, if Usher calls me I can do [an “OMG”] as well. Songs like “OMG” are international hits, not just hits on American urban radio. I’m talking about the fucking world! And those kind of accomplishments don’t get you the cover of VIBE. I don’t need anyone to validate me. I am hip-hop.”

Now THIS is some ish you don’t want happening ever!

Travelers Florida, be aware: a massive sinkhole in Tampa swallowed a car and forced the evacuation of 11 families from an apartment complex yesterday.
The 20-foot-wide and 10-foot-deep hole, which is close to the University of South Florida campus, is still growing today.
No one was in the car when it was engulfed and there have been no reported injuries.
This is the third sinkhole to make the news in recent months, after an entire building was engulfed in Guatemala and a playground ingested in China last month.
According to Discovery News, a sinkhole is an area “where bedrock is solid but has been eaten away by groundwater.”
The American Red Cross is providing emergency housing to the evacuated residents.

I’d lose my sh*t if I was in that car when that sh*t went down!!!

It’s official. Consumer Reports’ engineers have just completed testing the iPhone 4, and have confirmed that there is a problem with its reception. When your finger or hand touches a spot on the phone’s lower left side—an easy thing, especially for lefties—the signal can significantly degrade enough to cause you to lose your connection altogether if you’re in an area with a weak signal. Due to this problem, we can’t recommend the iPhone 4.

Now I am SO GLAD that I decided to just stick with my 1st Gen iPhone…VINTAGE BITCHEZ!!!!!!

Well now being of The Dream’s hoeshit, this couple may not be a couple much longer.

There has been rumors and speculation on these here innaents that there was trouble in paradise and now it seem solid evidence has been unearthed.

I feel bad for Christina Milian but I’m still not even sure why she married him in the first place.

The two, who got engaged way back when in 2004, had an all-star bash at Cipriani 42nd Street in NYC this past weekend.

In attendance were LeBron James, Spike Lee, Justin Timbelake, Serena Williams, Ciara, Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian & Lamar Odom, Ludacris, Kelly Rowland and more with DJ Clue spinning and Georgetown professor Dr. Michael Eric Dyson officiating the ceremony.
